Rode out here to visit yet another place on the list of top hot dog joints in NC. And once again, I was not disappointed. Just look at those two hot dogs in the pic - you know anything that messy is going to be delicious! I'm normally a soft bun type of person, but Kermit's had the buns on these toasted to perfection imo - just enough to give it a tiny bit of crunch without burning things. I suppose it is a good thing they are so far away from where I live - I'd be eating here way too often if they were closer.

Hot diggity dog! This place is a blast from the past . Old fashioned hot dogs and fries with a milkshake on the side made for a wonderful treat. We ate in the car and boy was it good! The best part? The price! We couldn’t believe how affordable everything was. We basically ordered the entire menu for 23.00. Would definitely be back and definitely recommend. Everyone enjoyed!!

Loved it. Best hotdogs this side of the Mississippi!!! The young lady that took my card to pay was the nicest person ever. She has been there for 10 years since she was 16.

Love these old original drive inns. If it ain't broke don't mess with it. Went on a Monday during lunch and the place was packed. Service was fast and friendly. If your looking for a foot long and fries your in luck. The lunch special with a drink was under 7 dollars. We opted for the onion rings which were hot and crispy. The foot long, red wiener style came with a toasted bun and all the way got you chili slaw and onions. Chili and slaw had great flavor and tasted a bit different than the normal dog houses. A little sad they didn't over top my dog but was tasty just the same. Onion rings didn't taste freshly prepared but we're still good and hot. Will be back to sample more of that menu soon.

Don't miss this place if you are in the area! We had the onion rings, fries, regular hotdog with onions, mustard, chili, slaw and relish. Also, we had the 1/4 hotdog with onions, mustard and chili. Drinks were fountain Pepsi and a vanilla milkshake. To finish it off we had the best darn banana pudding in the state! Great service great food we will make this a regular stop and you should too!

This is a really cool spot old school for sure! When they say the best things aren't always new they are talking about places like this. Drive up service table service pretty much all of it. The neighborhood around it seems to have stayed the same as well for better or worse. The staff was awesome, kinda small inside but setup well. Food is as expected but they do have footlong hotdogs not just the standard. Fairly robust menu, take cards, but close at 4. Styrofoam cups for the win and large is truly large. Thanks for keeping it traditional.
